Our attorneys are committed to assisting the needs of Hoosier citizens. Below are a few groups through which our lawyers voluntarily assist Hoosiers in need:
Ruth Lilly Hospice Center – Our firm’s attorneys created the legal division of the Ruth Lilly Hospice Center for hospitals in the Indianapolis Clarian Group. Through the Center, our attorneys donate time and legal services to indigent hospice patients both in the hospital and in the patient’s home. Additionally, our attorneys serve throughout the year on the Ruth Lilly Hospice Advisory Board.
Lebanon Educational Foundation – This foundation, which was founded by Willett Parr, Jr. of Parr Richey Frandsen Patterson Kruse LLP, is dedicated to providing scholarship opportunities for students and teachers in the Lebanon community. Currently, several members of our firm donate their time and talents to the Lebanon Educational Foundation, helping to provide educational opportunities to others.
Boone County Community Clinic – Through this Clinic, our attorneys provide free legal services to uninsured and underinsured persons of Boone County, including individuals needing assistance with medical treatments and other needs.
Boone County Emergency Management Advisory Council – Attorneys at our firm are members of the Boone County Emergency Management Advisory Council which provides emergency services to citizens throughout Boone County.
Anti-drinking and driving campaigns – Our firm is committed to keeping drunk drivers off the road. In order to help in this effort, we discourage students from drinking and driving by sponsoring post-prom activities at local high schools.
Boone County Senior Services – Through this organization, our firm’s attorneys provide pro bono legal services to seniors in Boone County and others who cannot otherwise afford legal services.
Boone County Family YMCA – Our attorneys and staff have helped with every step in the creation and organization of our local YMCA. They serve as board president, committee members and fund raisers for this new organization committed to youth, family and community.
NITA Training Conference – Paul Kruse has been selected for the 5th year as instructor at IU McKinney School of Law during the prestigious NITA training conference. This week long seminar focuses on teaching young lawyers from around the country about trial advocacy skills in civil litigation. These courses allow for students to gain insight and proper feedback while participating in all aspects of a mock jury trial.
These are a few examples of our attorneys’ community activities and pro bono involvement. If you are aware of other community organizations in need of pro bono legal assistance, please feel free to contact our office.
